MIRADOR? MIRADOR! MIRADOR.

Anyone who has seen MIRADOR live knows, they don’t just put on a show, more rather you get swallowed whole by equal parts fire and shadow. Friday, September 12, 2025 was no exception for those brave enough to surrender to the whispered hymns and the thunderous guitar riffs this band produces. Woven together by fate or luck, Chris Turpin and Jake Kiszka have created something that, ironically, feels like gold.

Fans attending the initial show of MIRADOR’s headlining fall tour, hosted by Chicago’s very own Metro, were treated to an experience that felt less like a rock show and more like a storm breaking loose. Reckless and unrestrained, the band took the stage with raw urgency, delivering raucous drum rolls and guitar riffs that felt like bluesy confessionals baptized in smoke. The band led concert goers on a pilgrimage that felt just shy of chaos; an aching saga of storytelling carved deep in the marrow of grit and grace, and a musician’s mortal cry against the silence of the void. Or, in this case, this quartet’s war cry, proving that MIRADOR is here to stay.
